What would a list of mysterious places be without a mention of the Bermuda Triangle? For anyone who doesn’t know, it’s a triangular area in the Atlantic ocean, between Miami, Bermuda and San Juan. Over the years, the area has captured our imaginations, with reports of seemingly unexplainable disappearances of planes, ships and people. No one can say for sure what happened in these cases, but theories are as far ranging as sea monsters, alien abduction and simple weather conditions.


2. Moguicheng, China 
Moguicheng is a desert in the Xinjiang region of China. The name literally translates to City of Satan or Devil’s City. Walking through the desert toward an old abandoned city, people have reported some extremely strange occurrences. Visitors are adamant that they’ve heard a range of mysterious sounds floating on the breeze, from weird melodies and the sound of guitar strings gently being plucked to babies crying and tigers roaring. These sounds are apparently inexplicable, nobody has yet been able to find any sort of source.

                                      
3. The Door to Hell (Turkmenistan): What happens when the Soviets set a gas field on fire? Apparently it opens up a portal to hell. This pit has, incredibly, been burning for over 40 years. Dangerous? Probably. Awesome photo opportunity? Undoubtedly.

Weird! Police Arrest Parrot For Using Foul Language

  The woman, named Janabai , has a theory about why the male Rose-ringed parrot residing there has such hatred toward her. Her estranged stepson, Suresh, lives in the house and has devoted his energy to training the smart bird to insult his stepmom.   A dispute exists between the two family members, with the stepson feeling that he should have inherited some property when his father died, but instead, Janabai has held onto it. After two years of hearing the parrots direct abusive and foul language in her direction, the woman finally went to the local police station and filed a harassment report against the bird. Why she didn’t file the complaint against her stepson is unclear. She had gone to the police three times in the last two years, but this was the first time that the authorities decided to investigate. Wierd! Indian State Becomes World’s First to Offer Free Cosmetic Breast Surgery to the Poor

When thinking of ways to assist the poor, offering free breast augmentation or reduction surgery is probably not the first thing to come to mind, but that didn’t stop health department officials in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu from doing it. Most governments are tackling poverty problems the old fashioned way, trying to make sure that unprivileged citizens have access to food, water, a place to live and basic healthcare. The Indian state of Tamil Nadu, on the other hand, is taking a slightly different approach, becoming the first state in the world to offer free cosmetic breast surgery to both impoverished women and men. These procedures are currently funded by the state health department, but authorities are trying to get health insurance providers on board to cover them as well.
