Intresting As Chinese Researchers Unveil Mind Control Car

A Professor from the College of Computer and Control
Engineering led the team of researchers who developed this weird, but
innovative approach to driving.
The driver of the vehicle wears a special
headset comprised of sixteen sensors that capture electroencephalogram (EEG)
signals and wirelessly sends the brain wave readings to a laptop connected to
the car. The software on the laptop then analyzes and categorizes the brain
signals. Based on the categorization, the vehicle accelerates, goes in reverse,
brakes, or locks/unlocks the doors.
Reports
shows that, Originally developing the technology was to help the disabled, the innovative Professor team is now working
with Google to integrate the system into Self Driving Cars to make them safer.
One concern from skeptics centers on what happens to a mind controlled car when
the driver is distracted.
According
to the proffesor and his fellow researcher, the answer is not much. The two
researchers claim that there is only the potential for accidents if the driver
isn’t concentrating when s/he changes lanes or makes a turn.
